We have an average of 60 babies at a time in our homes. As our babies are transitory and only stay with us from 6-12 months until they are found a ‘Forever Family’ it would be wonderful if you could help us by sponsoring a cot rather than a particular baby. Our cots are always full. As soon as a baby leaves to his/her ‘Forever Family’ the cot gets filled with a new baby that arrives. Therefore why not ADOPT-A-Cot?

For each baby we care for we provide nappies, baby wipes, bum cream, formula, cereal, bath products and vitamins.
We also cater for pediatric appointments, optometrists and dermatologists. We want our babies to be as healthy and well grounded as possible. Our average cost per month per cot is roughly R1000.

We often receive donations of baby products and other necessities but this does not cover our monthly running costs.

By adopting a cot and pledging to give a monthly contribution via debit order or stop order, you will be assisting us in giving our babies what they need without ever worrying where their next nappy or tin of formula will come from.

When you adopt a cot you will receive a special certificate from Door of Hope together with a photo of your baby’s feet. This may sound a bit strange but with the new Child Care act we are not allowed by law to give out any identifying particulars of our babies. So we will simply say your cot is occupied by a baby whose name is ‘BABY T’, it is a boy and he is 2 months old. A name plaque will also be attached to the cot you will be sponsoring. Eg:

When the baby that has been occupying that cot goes for adoption you will be sent a special token of thanks.
