How do you enter?

All entrants MUST enter and pay online with the race organisers.  If you are having trouble you can ask me for help.

Then send me your Full Names, ID Number & Web Reference – I will then add you to our charity bond.

Our whole Cycling Campaign is focused around a SUPERHERO THEME. Our Superhero’s are going to be called LifeChangers. There will be different kit for men and women. There are 3 different categories you can choose from:

OPTION 1: ROOKIE LifeChanger - Raise a min of R2,500 and get a refund for your shirt.

OPTION 2: CAPTAIN LifeChanger - Raise a min of R5,000 and get a refund for your shirt and shorts.

OPTION 3: MAJOR LifeChanger – Raise R10,000 and you get get a refund for your shirt and shorts.

You get the option to dress up as a Door of Hope LifeChanger Superhero. We will provide the necessary accessories if need be!

Or you can choose to just buy the kit and raise as much as you can.

Do i have to cycle in your start time if i have an earlier start time?

No

The system will seed you according to your index and if you HAVE a better start time, you will be seeded at that time. You may then choose to drop to the charity start time.

All novice cyclists will be put directly into the charity start time which would normally be earlier than your given start time, as long a your name and ID number are provided – and that is the advantage for new riders.

There are many easy ways to raise funds so dont be afraid as we will help you on your way!

The key is to be original and to have fun. Get creative and don’t be shy.  It’s for a good cause!

BECOME A DOOR OF HOPE LifeChanger!

By supporting Door of Hope in The Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour you will be making a difference.

We currently have 60 babies in our care. This project is to raise funds for medication, Nan formula, nappies and purity needed to feed and look after our beloved babies.

Our rider sponsorship target for the Cape Argus is R100,000.

Become a LifeChanger and help save lives.

It is truly an amazing race. We will have a Gazebo up at the finish, offering you delicious Boerie rolls (or the likes) and cool drinks. Mmmmm Doesn’t that sound tempting. Maybe a leg massage too . . . but only if you do a sub 4.

Please invite other cyclists you may know to join our force of LifeChangers. The cut-off date for adding riders to our Bond is 21 January 2013. Thereafter no additional changes will be accepted. Again we need a minimum of 10 riders. So won’t you please help.

There is going to be a special prize for Rider who raises the most funds for Door of Hope.

the Bond package includes:

• Guaranteed entry
• A start time of no later than 08:45. (The last start is at approximately 10:00 am). Bond members who qualify for an earlier start will still be seeded accordingly with the option to drop down to ride with their teammates
• Special 'goody bag’
• Special area at registration for collection of race packs

WHAT DOES IT COST YOU ASK:

Cost per entry is: R500 >(payable to us and then we pay it over to the organizers)

Then just choose the kind of LifeChanger you want to be:

OPTION 1: ROOKIE LifeChanger - Raise a min of R2,500 and get your shirt for FREE

OPTION 2: CAPTAIN LifeChanger - Raise a min of R5,000 and get your shirt and shorts for FREE

OPTION 3: MAJOR LifeChanger – Raise R10,000 and you get your shirt and shorts and you get to dress up as a Door of Hope LifeChanger Superhero. We will provide the necessary kit – complete with all the superhero trimmings.

Or you can just buy your kit and then raise as much as you can.

The entry fee includes VAT and a CSA day license but excludes a RaceTec timing chip

Upgrading of existing entries to our Charity Bond will be charged for at R200 per entry

The Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge encourages everyone to ride for a purpose, and to use the event to make a difference.
